Let me introduce myself
Hi, I'm Kristy otherwise known as The Celebrant
My brain doesn't work like most, and that's exactly why I'm so good at this!

I'm neurodivergent and communication is my obsession; the words people say, the ones they don't, the energy that shifts when someone finally hears what they needed to. I feel it all. Any celebrant can write nice words, but I create the kind of presence people didn't know a ceremony could hold.

I've been with my wife for 18 years, and I'm more in love than ever! As part of the LGBTQIA+ community, I know what it means to celebrate love that's authentic and unapologetic. We have three amazing kids and three pugs who are absolutely convinced they run the show.

Life keeps us busy. My wife Shi and I own and operate a funeral home in Goulburn, where we spend most days with grieving families; people at their rawest, most vulnerable moments. It's made me sharp. I know what matters and what's just noise.

Outside work, I love yoga, bodywork, meditation, anything that keeps me connected to my body. I thrive in the garden, going camping and fishing, though as much as I love the water, I've never been able to swim with my face in it. Feels like I'm drowning! Before every ceremony, I have my own little ritual of grounding myself, taking in the space, shoes off. Barefoot, present, ready. No one sees it, but it's everything!

Weekends are a blur of kids' sports and whatever game is on TV. I'm a mad Raiders fan and you'll often find me yelling at the tv or from the sidelines (I'm equally loud at both).
My life is chaotic and full, exactly how I like it.

Six years have taught me exactly how to do this. I've stripped away everything that doesn't serve, working smarter, not harder. I know how to connect with your story and tell it so it lands. And no, it's not luck; it's precision. Your story, told so well your guests will feel it in their bones.

That's the difference between a ceremony and an experience.
